Cleaning a hub that never holds still: the C5 at transportation hubs

At a station, the most stable thing about the day is the floor plan. Everything above it — queues, luggage, cleaning carts, an announcement that moves everyone forty metres — keeps changing.

Why a fixed route falls short

A robot that commits to one line through a concourse meets the same problems a person does. Somebody parked a suitcase in the way, a queue spilled out of the marked lane, a delivery cart is coming through. A system without live perception stops and waits for staff: part of the floor misses its clean, and the cleaning window is gone.

Planning the route while cleaning

The C5 combines laser-and-vision fusion positioning with environmental perception and dynamic path planning. In practice, the robot reads the space as it moves and adjusts its route in time — around a cluster of passengers, behind a moving cart, back to the planned line once the way is clear. Deep learning adds accurate pedestrian detection and a fast response, so the adjustment is a detour rather than a stop-and-restart.

What operators get

For facility and cleaning teams, the value is measured in interventions and coverage: fewer manual rescues caused by a changed environment, and coverage that holds up in peak hours instead of shrinking to the sections nobody stands in.

Share your facility layout and the busiest window of the day with our team — that pair of answers says whether the C5 is the right machine for the route.
